This course focuses on using Buddhist wisdom to identify states of mind that cause us pain and problems, and on contemplative and meditative techniques needed to deal with them.

It will be a practical course, which means it is devoid of an ideology to which one has to subscribe before reaping any benefit. It is a course for individual pursuit and not for belonging to or joining any of the established Buddhist schools. It also deals with general Buddhist principles and an overview of Buddhism

The course will focus on the Buddhist concept of love and kindness towards others and ourselves, and on ways to deal with easily recognizable problems such as loneliness ,lack of self worth, anger, fear, doubt etc as well as on recognizing harmful states of mind that are not always seen as causes of pain.


We will begin at 5.00pm 2nd Jan and finish lunchtime 9th Jan.
